  • Rosa Parks Refused to Give Up Her Seat

    Rosa Parks, a member of the NAACP, refused to give up her bus seat to a white man and was arrested for it.
  • Montgomery Bus Boycott

    This was a 381 day boycott of Montgomery, Alabama's bus system by African-American passengers.
  • Supreme Court Decision

    Due to the Montgomery Bus Boycott, the Supreme Court banned segregation on public transportation.
