    German Blitzkrieg
    What Happened: Germany took over Europe in the Blitzkrieg formation with planes and tanks along a narrow form.
    Why did it happen: Germany did not want a long war so they thought of the Blitzkrieg plan.
    Effects: Government evacuated to Britian, and was unable to return to Poland after the Red Army occupied it in 1944 and intalled a puppet communist government. The jews were then killed.

  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    What Happened: Japanese planes invaded the navel base.
    Why: It was intended to neutrilize the U.S Pacific Fleet.
    Effects: Destroyed our best navel base.

  • Wannsee Conference

    Wannsee Conference
    What Happened: 15 high ranking Nazi PArty and German government officials gathered at the villa in the Berlin suburb of Wannsee to discuss what was said to be the "Final Solution" of the Jewish question.
    Why: Extermination of the jews.
    Effect: Millions of jews killed.

    What Happened: Allied powers crossed the English Channel and landed on the beaches of Normandy.
    Why: To liberate Nazi control of the western european area.
    Effects: Thousands of ships,planes, and troops got deployerd.

  • Liberation of concentration camps

    Liberation of concentration camps
    What Happened: Soviet soldiers were the first to liberate concentration camp prisoners in the final stages of the war.
    Why: To free or help the jews .
    Effects: They let some of the prisoners be free.

  • Battle of Iwo Jima

    What Happened: Wanted base in Japan
    Why: Dropped the bomb to end WWll against Japan.
    Effects: Japan being bombed and destroyed and they surrendered.

  • VE Day

    What Happened: WWll of Nazi surrender.
    Why: We fianlly end WWll.
    Effects: War in Europe was ended.

  • Dropping of the atomic bombs

    What Happened: We dropped a bomb on Hiroshima.
    Why: Because they destroyed Pearl Harbor.
    Effects: Hundreds of people died and Japan surrendered a few days later.

    What Happened: We had Japan surrender to the Allied Forces.
    Why: We defeated Japan.
    Effects: War on Japan was ended.

    What Happened: Hitler tried to split up the Allied armies in Northwest Europe.
    Why: Attempt to push the Allied front line west from the Northern France to to Northweatern Belgium.
    Effects: Lost soldiers and civilians.
