    The first inauguration of George Washington as the first president was held on April 30, 1789 on the balcony of federal hall in NYC.

    George Washington's farewell address was published on Sept. 19, 1796.
  • The Death of George Washington

    George Washington died at the age of 67 in Mount Vernon, VA. Due to epiglottis, which is a small flap that prevents food and drink from entering the wind pipe. Swelling of the epiglottis can completely block the airway.
