fishing

  • my first fishing trip

My dad and I went to a little creek, and it was a little stream with little fish jumping out of the water. My dad showed me how to use a fly rod in little spaces. I cast the fly rod, and I twitched the fly, and then a fish took the fly, and I started to reel, but I learned very fast that the reel is for bigger fish than the fish I was fighting. I pulled it up out of the water, and I showed it to my dad, and he said it was a rainbow trout, but it didn't look rainbow to me.
  • big fish called largemouth bass

My family went to Lakeside Park to fish because it was a good time to start hunting large-mouth bass. We were set up on the island in the center and began casting from the boat dock. I was using a bait that looked like a minnow, but it was a lure bait. I cast it under the bridge, and I started to reel slowly. Then a fish took the thing in a flash, and I began to reel like ham. Eventually, I got it up on land, and the fish was MASSIVE to me at least, my dad took of picture of me and the fish.
  • white bass

    white bass

My dad and I were fishing in North Fond Du Lac, and I was fishing with a new rod I got with my money. I cast under the bridge with a lure, and I got a bite, but my little brain was thinking that I got stuck on some bricks. So I started to reel in, but after a little, I realized it was actually a white bass, but my drag wasn't titighto it snapped when I was able to see it. I told my dad, and later we went out and started to farm them for free food.
  • that hurt >:(

    that hurt >:(

My sisters and I were fishing with my mom in a creek, and I was getting my rod set up for trout. Then my baby sister ran into me, and the hook stabbed my leg. I yelled and then looked at the hook, it was deep and it hurt really bad, so I got my mom over to the problem and she gave me alcohol anesthetic to numb my pain when she pulled it out. It was a trouble hook, and when she pulled it out, the other hook stabbed my skin and hurt a little, but it didn't really hurt as the first one did.
  • gg easy bluegill

We were out night fishing, and it was the time when bluegills were out and feeding. We used worms, and they were biting like crazy. They were also a good size, like 6 or 7 inches. My family was all there, and I was the one catching all of them because I'm just sigma like that. I was also using bloodworms, but my family was using regular worms. I felt a tug, and I started to reel, and it was a MASSIVE bluegill, and it was bigger than the rest we caught.
  • That was fast

    That was fast

I wanted to fish alone, so I asked my mom and she said yes. I got on my bike and started biking to a small pond. I got off my bike, cast my rod, and as soon as it hit the water, a large-mouth bass took that hook and ran with it. I started to reel, but my rod was too weak to hold its weight, and the line snapped.
  • little gar

My dad and I were fishing in a little pond with spinner lures, and just fishing in the spots that had cover from the sun. I cast it, and as soon as it hit the water, a fish took the bait. I started to reel, but not so fast because the gar has very sharp teeth and could easily snap my line. I let it have some drag, then started to reel after it was tired, and all of this was recorded by my dad because he thought I could get it. After a while, I got it on land, and it was small but fought big.
  • big catfish

    big catfish

My stepdad and I were fishing in Rainbow Park in Chicago with some catfish setups that had live bait with weights on them, so they could sink to the bottom. I had one rod and he had another, we cast in different ways so we could have a better chance at finding one. My rod was hit after a while, and it was really heavy, and I thought it was a log, so I started to reel until I felt that it was fighting back, so my stepdad got the net, and I got it close to the dock, and he netted it in.
  • its a sheephead not bass

    its a sheephead not bass

My sisters were fishing with us and they wanted to catch a fish, but they weren't very good at it because they usually didn't come with us to fish. We were fishing in a river that had a current heading to the lake, but he had a fish on, and it was heavy, and he told me to take his rod and reel it in. I started to reel in, and it was heavy, but I got it in, and then he started to get a little annoyed because he thought it was a bass, but it was actually a sheephead. My sister took a picture of it
  • fish n cook

    fish n cook

My family went to this epic place where you can catch your own fish, and they will cook it in front of you. All of us like 30 people, went and we had a party there, and it was epic. There were sea bream, striped bass, and flounder. I tried to catch one, but they are very heavy, but I got it out soon. I tried all of them and they were all so good. (When I was typing this, I got very hungry) :(
