  • Germany invades Czechoslovakia

    Germany invades Czechoslovakia
    Hitler had signed an agreement saying he would no longer demand for land. This ended up being a ploy and Hitler was planning on taking over Czechoslovakia. On March 15th 1939 Germany invaded Czechoslovakia.
  • The Soviet-Nazi Pact

    On August 23, 1939 Germany and the Soviet Union signed an agreement in wich both countries promised not to attack each other. The German-Soviet Pact enabled Germany to attack Poland on September 1, 1939 without fear of Soviet intervention. On September 3rd, 1939 Britain and France having garaunteed to protect Poland's borders five months earlier declared war against Germany.

    This is a name given when the war began no actual fighting was happening both sides were still preparing. Nothing much happened fighting wise in this time period. Very little military action was taking place.

    The government of Canada declared war against Germany on September 10th 1939. This is the first time Canada declared war. Canada had signed a treaty that agreed to fight alongside Britain, Canada waited a week before joining along side Britain.

    May 10, 1940 Germany begins to invade Belgium, the Netherlands and France. The Germans had a smart tactic on how to invade France. They came in through the North (which Britain and France suspected) but what caught France of gaurd is they also came from the South straight into the French Heartland.

    The invasions of Norway, Belgium, Holland and Denmark all happened within a span of 6 weeks. It meant that Germany occupied the whole of Western Europe and could concentrate of Hitler's original intention which was to invade and conquer the Soviet Union Germany overtook Denamrk April 9, Denmark on June 10.

    The Battle of France was the sucessful German invasion of France and the Low Countries. Beginning on May 10th 1940, defeating primarily French forces. France officially fell on June 22nd 1940.

    The Battle of Britain started on July 10th 2013 and ended October 31st 1940. This battle is known as the air battle. This is because many ariel bombings and air attacks happened when Germany attempted to overthrow Britain. Britain was the victor.

    This was the code name for Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union during WWII. This was considered the largest invasion in the history of warfare.

    The attack on Pearl Harbour was a surprise military strike conducted y the Imperial Japanese Navy against the U.S.A. The attack led to the United States' entry into World War II.
