Depression of 1893
The economy was failing. A bunch of big companies and banks failed, and lots of people lost their jobs and homes. Trains and factories shut down, and it was hard to find work or make money. -
World War 1
Countries in Europe were fighting over land, power, and alliances. It got really messy with lots of countries involved, like Germany, Britain, and France. -
The Stock Market Crash
This was when a lot of people lost money fast. Before it happened, many were buying stocks, hoping to get rich. But the prices kept going up and up, until they couldn’t go any higher. Then, the market crashed, and a lot of people’s investments disappeared. -
World War 2
Germany, led by Adolf Hitler, invaded other countries. Soon, many countries joined in with the Allies. The war caused a lot of destruction, and millions of people died.
