    Region occupied: Northern and parts of central and western India
    One interesting fact: Gupta rulers were Hindus but they would still practice other religions like Buddha.

    Byzantine Empire

    Region Occupied: Land surrounding the Mediterranean sea and some of North Africa.
    One Interesting Fact: They were Eastern Catholic so their church was led by the Emperor and patriarch.

    Region Occupied: Manchuria, Mongolia, Xinjiang and Tibet
    One interesting fact: Their belief system was based around a religion called Daoism and Confucianism, this determined their political and social towers.

    One interesting fact: Muslims followed the Quran, basically their bible and their god was Allah.

    One interesting fact: The Edo period saw a shift in Shinto, which targeted spiritual purity.

    One interesting fact: The Ghana were ruled by a king and their citizens would have to pay taxes, they were also Islamic which was brought there from outside forces.

    One Important Fact: The Holy Roman Empire was catholic, but since they were western catholic they had different Church officials than the east. They were led by a Pope.

    One interesting fact: Mali was also Islamic, Leaders practiced Islam in their own way, choosing parts to follow.

    One interesting fact: They believed the world was created through self sacrifice to the gods.

    One interesting fact: Huacas were supposedly inhabited by gods or spirits.

    One interesting fact: The ruling class would adopt Islam, but most of the population still practiced there old beliefs.
