  • Smith Hughes Act Passed

    The advanced in agricultural education since the Smith has better quality in life. Farm families around the world got clothing by the American farmers. In 2017 they celebrated of Smith Hughes Act, America’s first step in transforming Education.

  • Future Farmers of Virginia (FFV)

    The future of farmers were going to grow. Developed as a statewide organization for boys enrolled in high school vocational agriculture. Henry Groseclose, Harry Sanders, Walter organized. The Future Farmers of Virginia for boys in agriculture classes.

  • The First National Congress of of Vocational Agriculture Students

    It was the first National Congress of Agriculture Students. It has National livestock judging contest. At the American Royal Livestock and Horse Show in Kansas.

  • H.O.Sargent and G.W.Owens write the first constitution

    African Americans were able to be educated U.S. Office of Education. G.W. Owens, a teacher-trainer at Virginia State College, write the first constitution of FFA. Bylaws New farmers of Virginia an organization for African-American agriculture students.

  • FFA Jacket got adapted

    The FFA jacket was first introduced in 1933. The FFA national Convention by the delegates from the Fredericktown, Ohio FFA, led by Dr. Gus Lintner. National blue and corn gold are adopted as official FFA colors.

  • Future Farmers of America is established in Kansas City, Mo

    The future of Americas established in Kansas City, Mo. Leslie was the first national FFA president. They were 33 delegates 18 states in attendance.

  • National FFA Camp and Leadership

    Leadership is provided by student officers. Who get elected each year by the agriculture teacher. A National FFA camp and leadership training school in Washington, D.C.

  • First FFA-owned National Headquarters

    They had 28.5 acres of land is purchased near Alexandria, Va. It was the first FFA owned national headquarters. The land once apart of George Washington’s estate.

  • FFA Members Join in The War Effort

    Individual members served in the armed forces. Jimmy Doolittle and participate in the famous air raid on Tokyo. During World War II delegates revise FFA membership rules so time served in the armed forces will not count determining member’s period of eligibility.

  • Attendance at the National FFA Victory Convention is 12,500

    They had a lot of attendance in the national FFA. Those in attendance honor the 260,450 FFA. They sacrifice losing their lives in the war.
