The London Blitz is a symbol of strength and resilience. Germany kept bombing France, but the French never gave up, and claimed victory in this particular fight, as the Nazi's finally gave up.

The city of Stalingrad, Russia was the Soviet city. The German's tried to overrule the city, but in the process ended up getting trapped IN the city, forcing them to surrender.

This huge attack was to the Nazi's in France (an attempt to free France) by America, Britain, and Canada. This attack is considered one of the biggest during WWII, starting the end of the rule of Nazi's.

The Market stood for the airborne attack that was to happen, and the Garden was ground attack. The whole point was to capture a bridge, but the operation had troubles with weather and miscommunication. While the operation didn't fully go as planned, it made a big impact on the Germans and left an impact.

This was Hitlers last major attack. The reason it is called the bulge is because the shape it made on a map and the amount taken over by the Germans. The victory didn't last long though, because soon the Allies were able to defeat the Germans once again.
