Refridgerator
Refrigeration is the process of removing heat from an enclosed space, or from a substance, to lower its temperature. A refrigerator uses the evaporation of a liquid to absorb heat and way before the refridgerator was even invented people brought their food to the moutians to freeze them or keep the food cold. -

Benjamin Franklin harnessed lightning by flying a kite during a thunderstorm. Lead to new ideas about the creation of energy. -
First Battery
Alessandro Volta created the first battery which consisted of two electrodes one made of zinc and the other copper. -
Voltage in Solar Cell
Antoine-César Becquerel was a french physicist who while reserching an electrode saw a voltage develop. -
Heat Pump
Lord King invented the heat pump. He used a refridgerated machine and reversed it and made the cool switch to heat. -
Drive Pipe
Drive pipe developed by Edwin L. Drake. It changed the oil industry preventing land from caving in or flooding when getting oil. On this day, the pipe reached 69 feet and struck a bounty of oil. -

Oil company that had a monopoly over the oil industry and therefore influenced the price of oil. Refined light oil and kerosene from crude oil. John D. Rockefeller discoverd this. -

Hoover dam was finished two years ahead of schedule. It allowed the river to be controlled and created cheap energy for America. This energy from the dam powers Las Vegas.
