    Settiling

    This was when the people came to Egypt and lived there more permanently. This was important to the people at this time because this was the start of the people of Egypt. This all took place in the Nile Valley in Egypt.
  • 3250 BCE

    The Beginning Of writing

    this is when writing was first seen. We know this because of the first use of hieroglyphs. this is good for the people of Egypt because they can now write things down and communicate without being there. this took place in Egypt near the Nile River.
  • 3100 BCE

    First King

    King Narmer was one of the first to rule upper and lower Egypt. This is important because it brought the Egyptian people together and caused a stronger and better power. this event took place in Egypt.

    Writing Advancements

    The whole writing letters at this time are developed fully which makes it efficient to pass information around. this is important to the time because messages could be exchanged without the need of the person being there. this took place in the Nile Valley in Egypt.

    Mummification

    This is when they discovered that they could preserve the body by taking out the organs and using salt. This was important at the time because they found a way that they could preserve their family and kings. This took place in the Nile Valley in Eygpt.

    Construction of the Great Pyramid

    The Great Pyramid is built along with the Sphinx for King Khafre. This is important because it shows the power of Egypt at this time to build something like this and it also shows the power that King Khafre had. The Pyramid was built in Giza in Egypt.

    egypt reunited

    at this time lower and Upper Egypt are reunited. Mentuhotep II the king of upper Egypt takes over the kingdom of lower Egypt which brings them together. This is important at this time because this is what turns Eygupt into the power that history knows this as. This took place in upper and lower Egypt.

    Peace

    King Senusret III rules and nothing that bad happens and expands the territory. this is important to Egypt because it also expands the power of Egypt. This took place in Eygupt and the territory claimed was the Nubian territory.

    Queen Neferusobek

    Queen Neferusobek is one of the first woman leaders of Egypt. this is important to Egypt because this shows that they had some form of gender roles and how they were broken at this time. Took place in the Nile Vally in common day Egypt.

    The Book of the Dead

    The Book of the Dead was written at this time and put onto the tombs of many pharaohs and other important people after this point. this is important because they now had all other beliefs written down and could now take them with them into the afterlife. this took place in the Nile Vally in Eygupt.

    Another King to Rule Them All

    Ahmose the ruler of upper Egypt was king at this time and took out Hyksos the foreign king of lower Egypt. This is important because once again Egypt became a united power. This took place in upper and lower Egyup in the Nile river valley.

    Expansion

    The Egyptian people take full control of Nubia, rich in gold and precious stones. This is important because this is how the Egyptian people further added to their power. This event occurred in Nubia a town along the Nile river in Egypt.

    Female Pharaoh

    Hatshepsut is one of the women rulers of Egypt and the only reason for this is that her son is too young to rule she is most known for the funeral temple across from Thebes. this is important because this shows that it didn't matter your gender it just mattered that you were in power. This took place in Egypt and she is buried across from Thebes common day Luxor.

    Tutankhamun

    Tutankhamun was crowned king at nine years old an archaeologist named Howard Carter discovered the tomb in the Valley of Kings this is where all the tombs are buried. this is important to the Egyptian people because it shows that age also didn't matter and it only mattered that you were royalty or that the gods allowed it. Tutankhamun was king of Egyup and was buried in the Valley of kings wich is also in Egyup.

    Embalming

    This was about the time that they discovered that the organs of the dead could go back into the body after being properly treated and dried. this was important because not only could they preserve the dead longer they could give the organs back so that the pharaoh could have his organs in the afterlife. this was discovered in Egypt.

    Kushite

    kings called Kushites from a region south of Egypt concerned Egypt the new king was now called Tantamani. this was important because yet again the people of Egypt were conquered and it changed. this took place in the Nile Vally in Egypt.

    The Rosetta Stone

    It is a big slab of rock that shows an agreement between King Ptolemy V and the priests of Egypt. This is important because it shows that even after being taken over they still had rules and laws. Took place in the Nile River Valley in Egypt.

    Alexander the Great

    he is the big king to take over Egypt and his descendants rule for another 300 years after.
    this is important because we can see how the native people of Egypt start to be kicked out and have to leave. Alexander the Great took over and controlled the country of Egypt.

    They would paint the coffins and other vases to show even more respect for the dead. This is important because this is how they respect the dead more. Discovered in the Nile Valley in Egypt.

    the last hieroglyph was written on a wall in the Temple of Philae in southern Egypt. This is important because it is the last hieroglyph and is about the time that the people of Egypt became more civilized. this took place in southern Egypt.
