Edgar Allan Poe was born january 19th,1809 by the parents of David and Elizabeth Poe.

Elizabeth Poe dies of tuberculosis. Shortly after, David dies of the exact same illness. Now three children are orphaned,with nowhere to go.

Of the three children, Henry, the oldest child, moves in with the grand-parents. Rosalie is adopted by the Mackenzie family, and Edgar is taken as a foster child to the Allans. They are all being split up to find decent homes.

The Allan family moves to England , and enrolls Edgar there ,until 5 years later, they return home to Richmond,Virginia in the USA.

His foster mother, whom he was very close to, died. Edgar went to her funeral, and was a sergant at the army.

Poe tries to get kicked out of the military, and is successfulin doing so. he was sick of it.He keeps writing and publishing poems and short sotries. When he published his first book, the author was listed as A Bostonian, for he really didn't want fame.

VIrginia begins to bleed from her mouth, a symptom of untreated tuberculosis. Her illness grows progressively worse.

Edgar publishes "The Raven" , and this brings him fame and recognition instantly. It is a huge hit.

Virginia dies from tuberculosis, which really affected Poe. He spiraled out of control the last few months of her illness, and became an alcohol addict.
