Locke was an English philosopher, and is the founder of modern educational philosophy. His theory was more based on scientific methods and studying the mind. Through his theory he believed that children are born with a clean slate, and he would approach them as a doctor would examine a patient. He would observe one child rather than teaching a group. He valued individual differences and would give children reasons for things happening.
