Fact: The main religion followed during the time of Imperial China was confucianism, a religion that regarded women as inferior, while required them to break and bind their feet when they were younger to have a physical appeal to their husbands. -

Fact: Despite his other subjects being less dedicated to the religion, Mansa Musa, a profound leader from the Kingdom of Mali, was a devout Muslim. He spread the word of his riches to his pilgrimage to the Hajj. -

Aztec Empire
Location: Central and Southern Mexico, specifically in The Valley of Mexico
Fact: In the capital city Tenochtitlán, the Aztecs had a plaza with a great temple honoring their main god, Huitzilopochtli, and their rain god Tlaloc. The temple had stones where the priests would offer human sacrifices to the gods. -

Fact: The Aztecs, similar to the Maya in the way they had many gods based on nature, having many rituals and offered many sacrifices, only human if the matters were dire. -

Fact: After the Songhai leader, Sunni Ali took over Mali, some Muslim citizens were opposed of the fact that he wasn’t Muslim and chose a new leader.
