    The titanic caused hundreds of changed in the cruse industry such as lifeboats are required on ships, there should be enough for all staff and customers. There re regular lfeboat drills to make sure both passengers and customers know what to do. Tech has also increased since the titanic as we now have radios and other forms of communication, operations must be avaliable always.

    The great depression caused not as many people to be able to go on cruises, this caused less customers, it also meant the luxury cabins were more empty, this eventually caused costs to lower meaning mor people can travel and its more exclusive. More on board entertainment was offered to try encourage people to book.

    in the 1950s air travel began, 1952 was the first commercial jet. airplanes were faster, cheaper sna more convenient to cruises, this meant ruses had to lower costs and become more convenient for more peopleto use. cruises became holidays where you could see many places around the world, not just for transport.
  • 1970s

    More very popular movies and shows came out about cruises and boat trips, meaning they became more popular again with more people watching and going on cruises due to these movies and shows. Mass market cruise lines had a massive rise, with more companies transforming cruises ro a affordable holiday option. More desigs of cruises were also made such as having balconies and more entertainment.
  • 2000

    cruises changed significantly due to two major events: the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001 and the rise of mega cruise ships. After 9/11, cruise lines were forced to greatly increase their security measures. Passenger screening became stricter, port security was tightened, and new identification and documentation rules were put in place to keep travelers safe. At the same time, cruise lines began launching much larger ships designed to be floating resorts, it became safer and more used.
