It was the coalition of communist states of Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America that were aligned with the Soviet Union and existed during the Cold War. The purpose of the Eastern Bloc was to protect the Soviet military interests.

    The Berlin Blockade was an attempt by the Soviet Union to limit the ability of the United States, Great Britain and France to travel to their sectors of the city of Berlin. These sectors sit inside of Russian occupied East Germany. The Soviets blocked all railroad and canal access to the western zones of Berlin. Which ended up in 2.5 million civilians with none of the basic living needs.

    The Chinese Communist Revolution brought Communist party power to China. Helped established the PRC which is the Peoples Republic of China. It overthrew the Qing dynasty and ended in 1949.

The Korean War started because of the internal conflicts of Communism. The United States wanted to stop the spread of Communism and support the South, so they decided to get involved.

    The Cuban Revolution was an attempt to by the military and politicians to overthrow the government. They wanted to overthrow the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. Things such as widespread corruption, political instability, and social problems caused the revolution.

The speech of the uprising was so inspirational that nations across the world wanted to overthrow the Hungarian Peoples Republic.

Some of the causes were the East Germans had a lack of freedom and hey had poor economic conditions. The Germans became angry and demanded the start of a new life.

    The 9/11 terrorist attack was an awful terrorist attack. Most of the hijackers were Islamist and they affiliated with the organization called "al-Qaeda". They ran 2 planes into the twin towers causing both to collapse and causing mass fires. The deaths were on the low side, but the attack was a tragic day for American History.
