    Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe Published

    Uncle Tom's Cabin was published after the Fugitive Slave Act as an anti-slavery narrative which revealed the abuse that enslaved people faced and exposed cruelty of slavery. This was beneficial towards the North because it gave them more support towards the abolitionist movement and also helped change the way the public viewed slavery.

This is more beneficial towards the North because it aim to change morals and exposed the hypocrisy of freedom to all.

    The Kansas-Nebraska Act gave settlers in new territories to vote if they wanted slavery of not. This benefited both the North and South however it was more beneficial towards the South because it allowed them to expand their slave states more easily by southerns voting for slavery.

    Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president, he won all the free states in the North. Lincoln's election caused for Southern states to feel threatened due to Abraham Lincoln's views on slavery. The North benefited from this more because Lincoln made it so slavery would not continue to expand which eventually led to the separation of the South.

This was beneficial for the South because it allowed them to be independent for the US making it so they have their own laws. This also allowed them to continue on with slavery which led to the Civil War due to their split.

    The Battle of Fort Sumter happened when the Confederate States attacked the Union-held fort in Charleston Harbor. The outcome of the Battle was that the South won which led Lincoln to call troops to shut down the rebellion eventually provoking the Civil War. This was not beneficial for either the North or South because or the War that was fought causing death and loss of money .
