    This was a riot that occurred due to an alleged black man killing a white man and another black man raping a white woman. After officers safely transported the two black men, they were followed to Springfield, Oklahoma. This also happened to be one of Abraham Lincoln's hometowns. By surprise, the white crowd that followed the two black men started to tear down the down, destroying the homes and businesses of black folk.
