    In Little Rock, Arkansas, mob of white people blocked 9 African American students from entering Central High School. The president sent an army to make sure the 9 students were safe to enter the school.

    4 African American college students from North Carolina sat at a segregated lunch counter and requested service. When they were denied service and asked to leave they stood their ground and denied to leave.

  • Freedom Rides

    The Freedom Rides were nonviolent interracial bus rides in Southern States to challenge and expose Jim Crow laws. Soon enough people were tired of it and tried getting rid of Freedom Rides by exploding the buses.
