Claimed Bengal was too large to administer. Led to strikes, protests and boycotts. Aug 1, 1905 Curzon resigned from backlash of partition and censorship as well as disagreements with Kitchener over Indian military. Oct 1, 1905 Partition of Bengal implemented, divided Bengal into Muslim east and Hindu west.
