The narrator was about to sleep when there was a knock at the door. -
The narrator was grieving over his loss and wishing it was morning. -
The narrator heard his curtains moving and it struck fear into him. he stopped the fear by saying it was just someone at the door. -
The narrator said ''sir or madam, please forgive me.'' he was half asleep and there was knocking -
he heard another tapping at the window and a thought it was the wind. -
he whispered at the door''lenore?'' and someone whispered Lenore? back at him. -
a raven flew in the window and went on a statue on the door -
he smiled and said the raven wasn't wild and asked the raven its name. -
he was amazed that the bird could talk and say nevermore. -
he thought the raven would leave tomorrow. -
thinking about the ravens previous owner -
the raven made him calm and he thought about why it was saying nevermore -
he started thinking about his wife -
he said that God was making him talk to the raven -
he asked the raven if it was the truth -
he said go back to the storm and don't come back -
the raven was on the door and kept saying nevermore
