What could be more devastating than such a firebomb attack." With this thought Lytle sent a letter to President Roosevelt

    President Roosevelt sees his letter and proclaims "this man is not a nut, it sounds like a perfectly wild idea but is worth looking into." and recruits a team to help with this project. The project was deemed Project X-ray, and began production immediately

    The End of Project X-Ray
    This Project had taken 3 years after its initial proposal, and hadn't made it as far as President Roosevelt had hoped. Bat bombs was only sapping resources from the American government. The final nail in the coffin was the proposition of the atomic bomb, Project X-Ray was quickly overshadowed and its resources lessened. Not long after, bat bombs were discontinued, and the war ended thanks to the atomic bomb.
