    Van Fraassen is the alma matter of both the University of Alberta and University of Pittsburgh where he earned his Masters(1964) and PH.D(1966) from the respective colleges.
  • Wrote "An Introduction to the Philosophy of Time and Space

    Bas' first book covered his time teaching at Yale University from 1966 to 1968. In this book he covers past scientists' theories covering science, time and the relation between the two all the way to a historical count of philosophy and his own personal view.(Fraassen)
  • Wrote "The Scientific Image"

    One of Van Fraassen's books was "The Scientific Image" which covers the idea of constructive empiricism. Constructive Empiricism is an updated version of empiricism and is a view that only believes in science that can be proven through facts and evidence not unproveable theories that could by default be "correct" with no proof to contradict.

    He taught at Yale University, the University of Southern California, University of Toronto, Princeton University and San Francisco State University. At all locations van Fraassen specialized in the Philosophy of Science and Philosophical Logic
