My mom would read books to me since a young age, and this was my first exposure to reading. -
I would pick up books and pretend I was reading them although in reality I was just flipping through the pages. First time I was in "control" of my own reading. -
One of the books I vividly remember being exposed to and loving in kindergarten was The Very Hungry Caterpillar. -
I liked to mirror my mom and just as she read to me, I enjoyed sharing books with my baby brother. -

Taking AR quizzes to gain points and get rewards was very motivating during elementary school. -
This series truly made me love reading and I felt most proud of myself for accomplishing to read all the books. This sparked my love for fiction, fantasy, series. -
One of the books we read in class for 7th grade was The Outsiders. It was very fun to read as a class and discuss the book all together. -
Learning how to research in high school I had to read through many scholarly articles, which is not my favorite reading activity. -
A big part of college classes is reading big, often boring, textbooks. Not my favorite way to learn.
