    The 1924 Immigration Act still restricted immigration by setting a quota. Many thought this quota, about 105 Chinese people, was too much ("1937").
  • Chinese Exclusion Repeal Act

    Also known as the Magnuson Act, this act voided all of the exclusion acts against the Chinese people. The United States only repealed the acts because of the threat of World War II with Japan. Additionally, there was little complaint about this acceptance of Chinese because of the 1924 Immigration Act.
