The Sons of Liberty was a secret group of patriots who were fighting against British rule. They were most of the people fighting for taxation without representation and the stamp act. -
This was another tax put on the colonists for stamps, newspapers, paper bags, and many other paper goods. This was one of the first taxes forced upon them and was used to raise money for the French and Indian war. The Townshend Acts were a series of British laws passed to tax many of the goods in America. Such as their glass, bags, tea, paper, and paint along with more. This is yet another cause that led the people into the American Revolution. -
The Boston Massacre is an event that happened when there was a crowd of colonists probably getting hostile and/or rowdy, resulting in a shooting. British soldiers shot into the crowd killing five people. Coining it a massacre. This whole event was also used for propaganda back then and the whole story was not originally told. -
The First Continental Congress was a group of men who were fighting against the British. This makeshift "army" were just people who bound together because they were over the British trying to maintain control over the colonies. -

The Boston Tea Party is when the American colonists threw 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. They did this in retaliation to the tea act where Brittan was taxing America on their tea. Again they were mad because they were getting taxed without representation for themselves in parliament.

These acts were 4 laws passed by the British parliament to punish Massachusetts for the Boston Tea Party. They closed the port to Boston so they couldn't receive imported goods. They took away many of the colonist's rights. British officers charged with crime could be charged elsewhere. And lastly colonists had to quarter soldiers. -
