  • Boston Tea Party

    A colonial protest in which they dressed as indians and dumped tea into the Boston Harbor. They were mad about being taxed without representation.
  • Intolerable Acts

    The Intolerable acts were a set of laws for the Massachusetts colonists. These laws were meant to punish them for the Boston Tea Party.
  • Lexington and Concord

    This was the military engagement of the Revolutionary war. Lexongton was a British victory and Concord was a Colonial victory.
  • Wahington becomes head of army

    George Wahiongton excepts an assignment to lead the continental army. He was unanomously voted to do this job. After 6 years of struggke they had won.
  • The Declaration of Independance signed

    The continental congress met in Philadelphia and 12 out of the 13 colonies voted for independance. Thomas Jefferson, jhon Adams, Edward Rutledge,Benjamin Franklin, and Johon Hancock all signed.
  • Battle of Long Island

    This battle was a defeat for the continenetal army under Washington and was a begining of a succesful campaigne. This gave Britain control of New York City.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    The Battles of Saratoga marked the climax of the Saratoga campaign giving a decisive victory to the Americans over the British in the American Revolutionary War.
  • Battle or Yorktown

    The surrender of Yorktown, The British surrender to the French.
  • Paris Peace Treaty

    This treaty ended the revolutionary war. This treaty along with others gave support to America from Britain.
