He was told to ride all the way to Lexington to let everyone know that the British that were settled in Boston were on their way. The British were on their way there to arrest people of Sons of Liberty and take away the supplies in Concord.

The Americans had a formidable defense and the British tried many attacks but their loss of men became worse and worse. Soon they fought and won and the casualties of the British were fatal. This then caused the uproar in Americans and the British a completely humiliated.

George Washington led a counter attack but failed, and this led to both generals fighting and trying to be victorious. Americans lost and the British gained more land, but morale still was up for the Americans.

They had pushed back to Valley forge and were ready to fight the pesky red coats. They didn't have a lot of revisions and a big food shortage, but there was enough wood to go around and so they made wood lodges for themselves. They had a very diverse camp and also went through a lot of diseases. There was also not a lot of clothes and food to go around.

    The Yorktown battle would be a three week siege fight against the British. Two french allies helped the Americans fight the British, one person with the American troops on ground and the other in the ocean. The Americans troops had a huge amount of numbers, which was 19,000 Americans, and the British only had 9,000. The British lost due to the overwhelming number of the Americans.
