    Boston Massacre
    On the 3rd of March in 1770, the Boston Massacre occurred. This was between Boston's townspeople and the British. No one knew that this was going to happen, someone was saying "shoot, shoot!" and the British fired at the colonists first. Some colonists ran away, some stayed to fight and shot randomly. Some colonists were started throwing sticks and rocks. It turned out to be a bloody battle. The fight was asymmetrical because they did not fire at the same time and they didn't come head on.

    The Boston Tea Party was a protest by the Sons and Daughters of liberty. The protest was against the tea act from the British. The Sons and Daughters of liberty went on the British ship and dumped tea in the water. There was approximately 342 chests of tea that they destroyed.

    June 17, 1775 was the battle of Bunker (Breeds) Hill. Colonists lost this battle and their hill, but the British lost more men. This battle showed the British that the war would not be won quickly or easily. This battle was asymmetrical because instead of lining up the colonists and British, the colonists hid and shot at them.

    On the 19th of April British troops marched to the town Lexington at 2 o'clock in the morning. Both sides met up in the middle of the town. The British thought that the colonists fired first and the Colonists thought that the British fired first. This was a symmetrical battle because of the fact that the British and the colonists both met up and fought.

    Thomas Paine wrote a pamphlet that inspired the Americans to fight for independence. This pamphlet was called "common sense".

    Americans were tired of always fighting for their rights so a five-man committee wrote a statement. it was mostly written by Thomas Jefferson. This paper had all of the colonies intentions, there were different parts in this declaration. For instance one part was talking about being against the British crown. We got Americas Independence on July 4th.

    This battle was between the Americans and the Hessians on Christmas day. This was an asymmetrical battle do to Washington crossing the icy Delaware as a surprise attack on the Hessians. Americans ended up taking the town that the Hessians had and a week later was the battle of Princeton and it was an American victory.

    On September 19th 1777, the Americans won the battle and this made the French become their allies, the battle was symmetrical.

At the same time however it was very cold and they did not have much food. You could say that it was kind of a struggle for the Americans because a lot of them died

    The battle of Yorktown was between the British and the Americans. The battle occurred because Washington wanted to defeat the British and they had spies so that helped. The Americans surrounded the British at Yorktown. They shot canon balls at them and eventually the British surrendered. The Americans won.
