Due to the lack of money Britain had because of the French and Indian Wars they had to find a way to make the money back. They ended up remaking an old law, the Molasses Act, to collect money from the colonists. The colonists felt that thew taxes were against their rights as Englishmen since they had them imposed on them without their consent.

The Currency Act was a law set by Parliament making it so all bills and colonial money could not be produced. This was done since the British government favored their own more physical currency with coins instead of bills.

To further their money collections for the ever growing debt Britain decided to impose more taxes onto the colonists. The Stamp Act imposed taxes on paper and other objects sent in the mail, either being bills or playing cards. The colonists started to grow even more restless and the merchants in Britain also started to oppose the new taxes.

The Quartering Act of 1765 makes it so the colonist are required to house any soldiers if commanded to do so. This also extents to gifting them food, water, fuel, and transportation to any soldier in need.

The Declaratory Act states that Britain had authority to impose and laws and taxes onto the colonists that they seem fit. Around this time Parliament started to repeal many of the previous acts but the Declaratory Act was made to keep the colonists in check.

The Townshend Acts were enacted after the British government started to need money again. After they appealed the original acts they needed to collect taxes again so the British decided to tax the colonists on glass, oil, lead, paper, and tea. The result of these new taxes would be the main development for the revolution.

The Boston Massacre started when residents of Boston threw snowballs at British soldiers that ended up making the soldiers start shooting at the Boston residents killing three in the process. This shooting resulted in newspapers to start riling up the colonists.

The Boston Tea Party was a protest of the taxes of on tea enacted by the Townshend Acts. The Boston Tea Party was enacted by a group dressed like Mohawk Indians lead by Samual Adams. They snuck onto three British boats and dump all of the tea on board into the sea.

The Intolerable Acts were a set of act to serve as punishment for the Boston Tea Party. The first was the Boston Port Bill which closed all ports in Boston until the tea was paid for. The next laws that were enacted banned town meetings without the governor's consent.

The Quebec Act made it so the boundaries of Quebec extended to the Ohio River. These new boundaries had no trails by jury and gave home to the Catholic Church.

The Quartering Acts of 1774 were a another version of the previous Quartering Act. The act stated that wherever soldiers can be housed a colonist must house them and provide for them.
