Pear Harbor
If Japan did not attack Pearl Harbor, the US would have not enter WWII but would have continued to support Allies through the Lend-Lease Act. This states that the US would not be part of WWII but continue to support their Allies since the Lend-Lease Act states, the US would provide military aid to Allied nations during WWII without entering into the conflict. This event would have a huge impact on other future events such as, The Doolittle Raid, Battle of Midway, D-Day, and etc. -
The Doolittle Raid
The Doolittle Raid would have never occurred due to it being a US air raid in response to the Pearl Harbor attack. This states that this raid would have not occur as the US would not have raided Japan if Japan never attacked Pearl Harbor. This event would have a huge impact on how the Battle of Midway would have changed as the Japanese would have not secured Midway more if the Doolittle Raid never occurred since the Doolittle Raid showed the US could attack Japanese homeland. -
Battle of Midway
The Battle of Midway would have never occur since the Doolittle Raid caused the Japanese to extend their defense perimeter and plan an attack on Midway. This states that without the Doolittle Raid there would not be a Battle of Midway as the Japanese would not have the need to attack Midway. This event would have a huge impact on the event D-Day as the Battle of Midway was a major turning point in the Pacific Theater. -
D-Day
D-Day may have occur still as it was a Allied invasion of German-occupied France. But if the Battle of Midway never occur, D-Day would have significant changes without the US military and resources. This states that without the US help, the invasion would have been more difficult and different and would have probably been a more longer and brutal battle as the US played a crucial role in the planning of the invasion. This event would have a huge impact on the outcome of the Battle of Berlin. -
Battle of Berlin
The Battle of Berlin would have probably still occurred as D-Day did lead to the fall of Berlin. But the Battle of Berlin would be more different and difficult for the Allies to capture the city of Berlin since the US was a major support. This states that the battle would have a different outcome since the US would not be part of the battle causing the Allied to have more difficulties. This event would have a minor effect on future events as the Soviet Union could have won the battle itself. -
Hitler Commits Suicide
Hitler may have still committed suicide as the Soviet Union would have had a chance of winning the Battle of Berlin. This battle would lead to Hitler suicide as he realizes that Germany's defeat was near. This states that Hitler would still commit suicide due to that Germany was already near defeated by the Soviet forces. This event would have a minor effect on future events such as Germany's surrender as there would no longer be a leader and the Battle of Berlin caused Germany to be weakened. -
Germany Surrenders
Germany would have probably still surrendered as Hitler's death was one of the major reasons for their surrender. The Battle of Berlin and Hitler's death were two major reasons on why Germany would surrender, making it the end of WWII in Europe. This states that it was more likely that Germany would have still surrendered. This event would have a huge impact on events such as Cold War and post-war orders. -
Atomic Bombs dropped on Hiroshima & Nagasaki
The Atomic Bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki would have never occurred if the US did not enter WWII. So if Japan had never attacked Pearl Harbor, the US would not join WWII leading to Japan to not have conflict with the US. This states that the US had no reason to drop the atomic bombs onto Japan since there was no need to force Japan to surrender. This event would have a huge impact future events such as the Japanese surrender as the atomic bombs were the cause to their surrender. -
Japanese Surrenders
The Japanese surrender would have likely happened without the atomic bombings from US. But they would have surrender more later due to Soviet Union entry into war and weakening the Japanese military. This states that if the atomic bombings dropped onto Japan never occurred, the Japanese would have more likely surrendered since Japan was weakened by the war. This would have a huge impact on future events such as Cold War since Cold War was a conflict/ competition between the US and Soviet Union. -
The Cold War
The Cold War would have probably not occur due to it being a conflict between the US and Soviet Union. The Cold War began as the US and Soviet Union had competition such as nuclear arms race and divide over post-war Germany. This states that if US had never dropped atomic bombings, there would be no nuclear arms race and if the US never joined war, there would be no argue over divide over post-war Germany. This event would have a huge impact on future events such as the collapse of Soviet Union.
