If a group of refugees came to our town Kozani, I believe we could successfully integrate about 15 to 20 people. This number would be manageable for our community and allow everyone to receive the help and support they need to start a new life. -
At first, the refugees could stay in empty houses or community halls that are not being used like xenias. Later, with help from the local council and charities, they could move into rented homes or build small houses of their own. -
We can support the refugees to start small businesses that use their skills and talents. For example, some might be good at cooking, tailoring, farming, or handicrafts. They could open small food stalls, grow vegetables, or make and sell handmade items. The community could help by buying their products and promoting their work. This would not only give the refugees income but also help the local economy grow. -
Our school can play an important role in welcoming refugee children. We can organize extra language classes to help them learn the local language faster. Students can also volunteer to help them with homework and teach them about local customs. Also we can donate them clothes, another thing is when they visit the local shop we can translate from english to greek. This will build friendship and understanding among everyone. -
Helping refugees brings many benefits. They can share new skills, ideas, and traditions that enrich our culture. Local businesses can gain new workers, and there will be more people contributing to community life. Working together to support refugees will make our town more caring, united, and strong. It will also teach us the value of kindness.
