The first book I ever got was The Monster at the End of This Book. My mom would read this book to me all the time. It was fun to read as a kid.

This might sound silly, but the first time I read something by myself was a PartyCity logo. I had a really bad stutter as a kid so I never really talked or had any interest in talking until one day, my mom was driving and I looked at the sign and sounded it out and I said PartyCity.

In kindergarten, my teacher read us Eric Carle books almost daily. He was one of my favorites to read. The pictures were my favorite part especially in Brown Bear Brown Bear, What Do You See.

My favorite book as a kid was Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad day. This book was my favorite to read because it always cheered me up. I loved that the book was in black and white and the pictures looked like they were drawings right on the pages.

Growing up we went to church every Sunday morning, and Wednesdays for Bible Study. I started reading and memorizing scripture because we would get prizes if we learned our verse of the week on time.

In middle school, The Hunger Games Series was the biggest rave. I read the entire series cover to cover probably 5-6 times from 6th grade to 8th grade. It was the first time I really got into reading since elementary school. I read the entire first book in one sitting and couldn't put it down. I got in trouble many times for trying to read at the dinner table.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid became popular when I was in elementary school. I remember the library never having them in stock so for Christmas I asked for my grandma to buy me the set and she did. It was a book I could read in one sitting and it was great.

For a while, I stoped reading. I had a lot of family issues going on, traumatic things happening in life and my desire to open a book was nonexistent. I wanted to badly to pick up a book and dive in but I couldn't force myself to. I also didn't want to read because we were forced to read books at school for projects and homework and those books were not good.

I graduated high school in 2020. Quarantine hit pretty hard and TikTok started to get old. I started reading again for the first time in a long time. It was refreshing and something new. I was reading old books that I've read a million times before but I wanted to reignite the flame that I had for reading before.

My love for reading is a love hate relationship. I follow BookTok and all the latest trends in books and what to read. I have a group of reading friends that we share books around and it's a nice community to be apart of. I love reading and I mostly wish I had more time to read.

Some of my favorite books I didn't name:
- Wonder
- The Maze Runner Series
- The Gum Chewing Rattler
