    It is not yet light, but Cornelia gets up and walks out of the house.
  • Adhūc dormiunt pater et māter et Marcus.

    Still, the father, the mother, and Marcus are sleeping.
  • Omnēs iam surgunt et labōrāre parant quod Cornēlium et Aurēliam timent.

    Now everyone gets up and prepares to work becuase Cornelius and Aurelia are afraid.
  • Multī servī mox in agrōs currunt ubi strēnuē laborant.

    Many servants soon run in the fields where they activlely work.
  • Iam surgunt Cornelius et Aurēlia.

    Now Cornelius and Aurelia get up.
  • Cornēlius petit Davum quī in hortō est.

    Cornelius looks for Davus who is in the garden.
  • Iratus subitō est Cornēlius.

    Cornelius is suddenly angry.
  • Davus, ubi Cornelium audit, statim surgit et labōrāre parat.

    When Davus hears Cornelius, he immediatly gets up and prepares to work.
  • Aurēlia Cornēliam docet vīllam cūrāre.

    Aurelia teaches Cornelius to look after the house.
  • Ancillae vīllam pūrgant, cibum coquunt, lānam trahunt.

    Slave girls clean the house, cook the food, and spin wool.
