Blitz The German Blitz was an air raid bombing against England starting September 7 until November 12. This was a follow up to the failed attempt to gain air superiority over Britain during the Battle of Britain. Air defences finally began to become improved allowing for better night radar and artillary control. This allowed them to defend against the German's and to stop the onslaught.

Yalta Conference The last military conference between Stalin, Roosevelt, and Churchill. This conference was to discuss plans for after the war in Europe and to come to an agreement to declare war on Japan.

Dresden The Allies went and bombed the city of Dresden, Germany, a place which had no military value. It was a city for the wounded soldiers to be healed and for refugees to recover. It had never been attacked before during the war until this fateful night when Churchill and Roosevelt had decided to burn the city down.

V-E Day Victory in Europe day (V-E Day) was declared after Germany unconditionally surrendered.

V-J Day Victory in Japan Day (V-J Day) after Japan surrendered to the Allies. It would not be until September 2, 1945 that WWII would be officially declared over with Japan's formal surrender.
