The Boston Massacre was when a crowd of men and women were taunting a standing guard outside the city's customs house. Soon British soldiers arrived to support the guard and a free-for-all ensued and shots were fired killing five civilans. -

Officials in Boston refused to return ships full of taxed tea to Britain. As a result, a group of colonists decided to go on the ships and dumped the tea into the Boston Harbor. -

A battle between the British troops of the Boston garrison against troops of the American Continental Army. There were about 2,400 British troops against 1,500 Americans. -
Thomas Jefferson is chosen to write the declaration
He was one of the five men to write the declaration of independence.He searched in his mind for the right words and when he had finished he gave it to the Continental Congress and it was adopted. -

The declaration was written by Thomas Jefferso. He expressed the opionons of the minds and heart of American people. It was wrtten to declare independence from Great Britain. -
Flag Act
It resolved that the thirteen stripes on the flag be alteranted between red and white;that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field representing a new constellation. The Continental Congress passed this law. -
Treaty of Paris
This treaty ended the Revolutionary war. It also stated that America was independent and owned land south of Canada and land from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi river.
