The start of the Korean War started with the North Koreans attacked South Korea in an unprovoked attack. This lead to many casualties for South Korea especially at the begining of the war.

North Korea captured Seoul very fast which was the capital of South Korea. It also was one of the biggest cities in the country which was a bad sign for South Korea and how this war would go.
