    Belgium was neutral until the Germans invaded it for the second time on May 10th, 1940. The invasion was part of Hitler's western offensive.The Germans were striking the Netherlands and Belgium at the same time. The king of Belgium asked for an aristice with the Germans, but instead he got offered to surrender. He accepted the offer on May 28, only 18 days after the invasion.

    This event happened during the Holocaust that was going on at the same time as WWII. Aschwitz was a the biggest concentration camp in Germany. The concentration camps were for the Jews that were captured. Zyklon-B gas was poured into the gas chambers at Auschwitz when the Jews were forced into them which included adults and children.

    The point of this war was that the Japanese wanted to capture Port Moresby, which is on New Guinea's southeastern coast. The operation executed by the Japanese included two seaborne invasion forces, a minor one targeting Tulagi, in the Southern Solomons, and the main one aimed at Port Moresby. They had two aircraft carriers named Shokaku and Zuikaku.

    The Allies planned to raid Dieppe so they could seize the French port for only a small amount of time. By seizing the French port, the allies wanted to capture prisoners and see the German's reaction to their arrival. The landing at Dieppe failed because the allies landed 8 miles off Dieppe. Not long after their landing, the Germans were warned of an attack and got ready to attack back. The Allies were in trouble.

    The first bomb dropped on Japan was dropped on Hiroshima. The bomb was dropped by an American B-29 bomber. The bomb killed 80,000 people and had 90% of the city destroyed.
