    Jamestown was the first English Colony established in the Americas. It was founded by the London Company( with permission from King James I). The location of this colony is modern day Jamestown, Virginia. The trials was first started when an 11 year old girl was claimed as possessed after throwing a series of fits and having convulsions. These trials executed many "witches" based on accusations from wealthy Puritan families.

    The Dred Scott v Sanford Case was a lawsuit filed by Dred Scott, a slave suing for his freedom from, his master John Sanford. Scott's argument was that because he lived for ten years in Illinois, a free state where slavery was forbidden by the Missouri Compromise of 1812, then moved back to Missouri (A slave State), he should have been recognized as a free man living in Missouri. The final decision was a victory for Sanford.
