When I was young I had certain difficulties trying to read. Then my mother suggested looking at the world around you. She pointed out there were multiple things to read from road signs to even restaurant names. I did this for years until I could finally read entering Kindergarten.

When I was little around the time I entered 2nd Grade, my parents used a paint that gave me a chalkboard in my room. I would use it all the time to put notes down from my books and all my reading assignments.

When I was little my grandmother gave me this book I had never heard of. It was called Harry Potter. I loved this book so much because while being such a long book it also had pictures in it. This was around 4th grade

When I was in around 7th-8th grade in middle school the concept of writing essays was brought into question. When they introduced essays they also introduced a format called ICEE as a way to write essays.

Once entering High School my freshman teacher Ms.A at the time taught us at the time that ICEE was not a format of writing essays that you would no longer need as a writer. It was different and we were taught MLA format which is the standard for High Schools.
