The first time I recall using technology in school was during a computer lab in elementary school, where I typed and played math games. I also remember using smart boards for the first time and having students come to the front to answer questions on the smartboard by tapping on it

A significant use of technology at school, I remember, was animation class during middle school. We would create animation projects throughout the year, usually to put all together in one video with different themes such as Halloween and the Old West. I also remember creating platform games and button games.

I started to see more technology use in certain classes in middle school, such as teachers sending out announcements by email to the class and students working on collaborative projects on Google Docs. I also remember seeing a tablet in class for the first time, albeit briefly, to use for one class assignment, which was new at the time.

One of the things I noticed in my freshman year of high school was that it became much more common for students to have a smartphone. Chromebooks also became common in some classes, but there were still classes that didn't use any technology. Most writing assignments were still submitted on paper, usually printed out.

I also remember technology being used for educational games such as Jeopardy and Kahoot.
