Clothing was invented about 350,000 years ago by the cavemen. The cavemen most likley stripped the fur off the animals they hunted. The clothing kept the cavemen warm in harsh weather.

Wool was a very common to use as clothing material. Blue was a very popular and fashionable color at this time because Kings of France adopted it as their heraldic color.

Women in Italy wore long dresses with sleeves that reached the floor, these were called houppelandes. These gowns were extreme and extravegant. They were worn with headpeices that contained feathers and jewels. They were also swagged and draped.

The Europeans widened their silhouettes for both men and women, following the tall, narrow look from the 1680's and 90's. Men often wore white wigs. Natural hair was powdered white to achieve the fashionable look.

In Germany most young girls would wear knee-length dresses. This was a popular style in the 1920's.

In the 1960's drainpipe jeans were worn by Audrey Hepburn. This style became popular for young females and males in the 2000's.

Women often wore neon clors such as pink, green, teal, black, purple, and yellow. Some popular clothing items are uggs, pencil skirts, leggings, and motorcycle jackets with studs.

I think clothing will be similar to how it is now. There might be some changes fabric wise but I feel it will have the same styles as now a days. I think that because, 2050 is only 38 years away and the clothing trends change after long periods of time according to my research.
