The Soviet Union spots a U.S spy plane flying over its territory, and shoots it down. -
Cuba aligns with the Soviet Union
Once Fidel Castro took over Cuba, he decided to become partners with the Soviet Union, and take up their policies. -
Cuban Missile Crisis
This is when Cuba was threatening to shoot missiles at the US with nuclear weapons. The got the missiles from the Soviet Union. No missiles were fired. -
SALT I gets signed
The was an agreement between the U.S & USSR over the production of missiles, and restriction of they could be placed. -
SALT II gets signed
This is another agreement between th U.S. & USSR. The agreement was over nuclear weapons. It was to lower the use and production of the newer nuclear missiles both sides were using. -
Boris Yeltsin elected as President of Russia
Stalin has died, and the Soviet Union is falling apart, so the elect another President. -
Germany reunites
After WWII, Germany was split into two sides, and four parts. One side was communist and the other was Capitalist. Once the Soviet Union fell apart, the capitalist side of Germany took over the communist. -
The Cold War Ends
The Soviet War no longer exists, and its territory goes back to being Russia.
