Practicing my secondary instruments
I learned that in order to teach small group lessons and rehearsals, I would have to model how to play these instruments at a proficient level. I practiced a lot over the these years, and am still practicing to help teach band. -

Rhythm Randomizer & Music Apps
With COVID changing how we taught band, I relied heavily on digital apps to teach. One of those is rhythm randomizer, which we use as a warmup even to this day. -
Speaker System & Yamaha Harmony Director
I ordered a new PA system with professional speakers, and a Yamaha Harmony Director, and it transformed the students' sound using this technology. -
Wireless Microphone
With the big group of students in class, this wireless mic has made it easier to give verbal feedback without having to project and damage my voice over time. I can speak calmly, and the students respond better to it. -
Brisk AI tool for lesson plans
Using Brisk AI can generate lessons for students. This makes the lessons more comprehensive with my busy schedule and cuts planning time down. -
Padlet
After interacting with Padlet in this class, I am going to start incorporating this in digital activities in band.
