This is around the time when I was first introduced to using computers for certain aspects of schooling. During this time, I would be doing aptitude tests to see where I was academically and later on in the year, see how much I improved since my last test. We would occasionally use it for research purposes and other class activities. But for the most part, we continued to use testbooks.

Around this time I was able to go on a Washington D.C. field trip with my class. I was also given a phone to keep in contact with my family. When i got back, I was told that I can keep the phone for my own personal use.

In high school, everything changed academically. I went from a middle school where mostly everything was on a textbook to now everything is on a chromebook. It was a struggle at first because I wasnt used to it. But now, as I look back at my freshman year, im glad I was taught early how to use technology for education because it prepared me for my future as an educator.

Around this time, I began to sharpen my study habits for school. I began to use apps like quizlet and others similar to this one to study. No more physical flashcards! Digital is the new wave.

Transitioning to college after high school became a breeze. Since I came from a school that was mostly on computers, it was like nothing had changed. The only thing that did change was I went from a standard laptop to a my own PC. Another thing that had changed was online option classes. I have taken many online classes, and in my opinion, they are not for me. I still prefer to be in a classroom setting, however, I dont mind it.
