Kinder and 1st grade were in Germany. I have no recollection of those years using any sort of technology in the classroom and we had no TVs at home. We did have a record player and my mother had us attend live ballets and symphonic concerts. -
If there was technology it may have been the rare photocopies passed out in the classroom as teachers had to use this device. They were very scarce. -
Fridays after lunch meant we got to watch one of the favorite shows of Elementary!... "Butterflies in the sky, let's take a look, it's in a book"... -
Hot projector screens were used in class and I distinctly remember the light bulb would burn the teacher's forearm and it was a struggle keeping it in focused. -
VHS tapes were used in the classroom but my father thought Beta was better so we had a Beta video recorder. This lasted only a few years until VHS could only be found. -
Christmas present. I was beyond thrilled that I could have something to listen to on the school bus. -
Sophomore year, one whole year of typing! I excelled as I practiced the piano and organ 2-3 hours daily. I was the fastest in the school. -
You wrote your papers by hand and then typed it up at the Computer Lab as no one had money for their own computer and printer. Papers could not be turned in digitally, they still had to be printed out but now you didn't have to type them.
