    Throughout elementary, middle, and even high school (less so) teachers utilized overhead projectors and transparency sheets to demonstrate problem-solving and give direct instruction. I remember being assigned the job of washing the transparencies from time to time.

    The TV cart would get rolled in for viewing of supplemental materials and to watch movies during lunch on rainy days. VHS tapes were fed into the VCR machine.

    As I was nearing middle school, the iMac became prevalent and a fleet was purchased for my school to equip our computer lab. An available classroom was converted and exclusively designated as the "Computer Lab".

    In middle school, my class began utilizing the computer lab more frequently, with very guided lessons on making text documents and typing.

    In high school, the school adopted Moodle as the learning management platform which behaved like a blog or class website where we accessed links and resources. It was clunky and teachers had a hard time with it.

    Text Editing with Google Docs

    In high school, we expanded from the offline text editing software like microsoft word to begin using web based and collaborative text editing with Google Docs. I remember using this with my friends as a "group chat" throughout the school day (as well as doing school assignments).
