Chrome Book
The chrome book was introduced to society in June 2011. The chrome book was produced by the Google Chrome system. The chrome book started providing people with the aspects of a traditional notebook computer with the benefit of cloud. Also, the easy set up and convenience of the device was something that students, administration and teachers loved about the device when it was first introduced. -
Kahoot
Kahoot was founded in 2012. Kahoot is a learning platform that is game based. It can be a good learning tool that helps students learn and study subjects. Also, it is a fun tool for teachers to use as well because it can be a competition and could be a motivator for students to study more. -
The flipped classroom
The flipped classroom is an idea/ method that started to become a way that time in and out of the classroom changed. This method was mainly applied to college classes at first. The hope of this method is supposed to help the time in class be more efficient and not just lecture based. Within this method students would learn, read and go over concepts beforehand to enhance learning and understanding. -
Video
In the year 2014 video usage became very prevalent in and out of the classroom. This was because there was an increased amount of internet connection availability. Videos have been a vital tool in the education world because you can watch videos on just about anything. Furthermore, if teachers and students would like to use videos as a study tool, they had the opportunity to. -
3D technology
In 2015 3D technology was on a major increase in popularity. 3D printers started to be produced in greater quantities. These 3D printers give students, teachers, businessmen, and engineers to experiment and come up with more creations and designs. -
Air pods
Apple released their wireless earbuds. This device created convenience of not having to plug something into your device and having a chord in the way when trying to do things while listening to something. -
Play Station VR
The Play Station VR was invented and created a virtual reality for people to experience. This device was not only for gaming on the Play Station but could be used in different ways. People could experience things like historical scenes and much more on this device that could be useful to people’s education in some way shape or form. -
Khan Academy Kids
This site helped students improve their learning in core subjects. This program was created for students’ pre-K to 2nd grade. Khan Academy Kids provided students with games, activities, stories etc. to increase their knowledge. -
Roybi Robot
This was a robotic and AI device that could tutor people. This device could help teach students about core topics like math, science and ELA topics. Additionally, this device could be used to communicate in multiple different languages. -
Zoom
In 2020 this invention was used to communicate with multiple people or one person at a time. During this time COVID – 19 was also a massive issue for the whole world. Zoom gave students, businesses, and families a better and easier way to communicate and learn.
