In 2013, I participated in a school play called Peter Pan during my nursery days at CKC. This was my first exposure to traditional media, and it taught me confidence, collaboration, and the power of storytelling. I vividly remember rehearsing with my classmates, learning my lines, and experiencing the excitement of performing in front of an audience. This experience demonstrated how traditional media can engage people emotionally and create lasting memories. -
During the summer before kindergarten in 2014, I played a driving game at an arcade, marking my first exposure to digital interactive media. Controlling the car on the screen and competing for high scores was both thrilling and immersive. This experience sparked my curiosity about technology and interactive entertainment, showing me that media can be hands-on, engaging, and intellectually stimulating. -
In 2015, I practiced and recorded a song in a studio with my kuya, experiencing audio media and music production for the first time. Being in the studio taught me patience, attention to detail, and the creative process behind music. It allowed me to explore my own creativity and develop an appreciation for the effort and skill required in producing media content. -
From 2020 to 2022, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I attended online classes and created my first social media account to join the class group chat. My account was monitored by my mother, but this experience taught me responsibility, time management, and digital communication. It also demonstrated how media can connect people, facilitate learning, and structure daily routines in a meaningful way. -
In 2023, I gained full control over my social media accounts and was no longer monitored by my mother. I explored platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram; however, I was primarily limited to watching videos and posts and had not yet engaged in sharing content, tagging, or commenting. This experience taught me digital responsibility, self-regulation, and how to safely navigate online platforms while discovering content independently. -
In 2024, I visited SM Cinema with my family to watch a movie, experiencing cinema for the first time. Sitting in the theater, observing the large screen, and hearing the surround sound created an immersive environment. This experience enhanced my appreciation of storytelling in a communal setting and highlighted how traditional media can generate shared experiences and memorable moments. -
In 2025, I expanded my use of social media to include video calls and chatting with new people. I learned to communicate effectively online, maintain digital etiquette, and build connections beyond my immediate circle. This experience taught me independence in navigating digital spaces, the importance of responsible online behavior, and how social media can serve as a tool for both learning and social interaction.
