From ages 0-1 Infants develop a trust in their caregiver. In the jungle book we see the beginning of Mowgli's life and his first encounter with being raised by wolves after being left by his parents. He then develops a relationship and trust in the pack.

In this timeline we are looking at how the development of Mowgli aligns with the Ericksons Stages of Development

Ages 1-3 Years. In this stage of the timeline we see a toddlers desire for independence and the desire for performing tasks on their own. In the Jungle book we see Mowgli's young life begin as he realizes he cant perform normal activities as well as the animals around him so he begins practicing independence and begins parental relationships with the other animals in the forest as well.

Ages 12-18 we see the young adults slowly understanding sense of self and seeing which roles suit them best and strive to create a single identity and find who they are. In this movie we see Mowgli trying to decide wether he belongs in the jungle an environment he knows or if he belongs with people that reflect him.
